SyntaxEdit character display issue

edited November 2014 in LMD IDE-Tools

Please see this file:

Take a look at line 21.

If that line is copy and pasted into a "script" section (like pasted into line 9), then some of the characters are changed or displayed differently.

The background color highlighting seems to be related to the problem as the characters change if the line is highlighted in some color. Turning syntax highlighting off seems to resolve the issue.

Why is this? Is it a bug? Thanks.

NOTE: I tried attaching the file but it didn't work... the system just sat there "uploading".

  • This is interesting... it seems to be related to the font. I was using Consolas but this problem seems to disappear when I switch to "Lucida Sans Unicode".

Also, this happens in another editor as well (EmEditor) with Consolas.

I'm still wondering what's going on? Anyone know?
  • Hi,

I've reviewed this isssue, and its really looks like a font issue. Moreover, as you mentioned, it appears in other oeditors too.
  • Ok, thanks for checking this out.
