Docking Floating Window with Multiple Panels to Docksite

I would like to be able to have the user dock a floating window that contains multiple dockpanels into the docking site on the main form. For example, the user might create float several panels, combine them into a single window (perhaps a tabbed set) and then drag the window (including the docked panels) onto the docksite. I can't find any settings that would seem to allow this -- it appears that the user would need to drag the panels one-by-one to the docksite and recreate the arrangement there. Is that correct? If so, I would like to request that feature. The reverse would also be nice -- the ability to float a collection of panels that are currently on the docksite (which would make sense especially if they are tabbed together).
