TLMDCheckListBox not honoring SelectedFontColor property?

In the TLMDCheckListBox (which includes the TLMDCheckListComboBox), it does not seem to honor the SelectedFontColor settings, so I always get black text making it hard to read unless I choose a lighter SelectedColor for the background.

Delphi 2007.
