  This is strange. I just checked using Delphi XE2 and Delphi 10.4.2 - no problems with our demo.

  What are required steps to reproduce the issue?

  May be something wrong with your library paths or previous installations. Because, ParentBackground property is an existing published property of TLMDDockPanel class (LMDDckSite.pas, line 379).

  Please specify the name of the installer you used. 

  We just tested setupel21src.exe (ElPack 2021 source installer) and the file you have attached is definitely not included (your file is from 2020 release).

  1. Uninstall previous version.

  2. Delete directory with 2020.

  3. Install 2 files: setupel21d27.exe, setupel21src.exe

  4. Result is the same - old file LMDDckSite.pas

  Sorry - no way to reproduce this. The LMDDckSite.pas file from 2020 file must be originated from somewhere else.

  Here is the source folder after installation with setupel21src.exe:
  

  
  

  In the install.log file in your main folder you can search for LMDDockSite.pas file including time stamp etc. and the exact destination location, it should look like this:

  
  

  So make sure that your LMDDckSite.pas is time stamped with 06-Apr-2021 and time 21:00:00.

  Delete directory might not be sufficient. If you installed source code yourself, the runtime/designtime packages of 2020 release may be still around in your default package folders.
